HISTORICAL SYNOPSIS
1992 - The Agricultural College is established with the Decision of the Government Council № 435/23.10.1992;
1993-2006 – Annual internship student programs and specialization in England, Denmark, Germany, France, the US, and others;
1997 - The Agricultural College is transformed into Higher School “Agricultural College” with the Decision of the Government Council № 18/27.01.1997;
1998 - Independent design, development, and implementation of a TEMPUS Project;
1999 - Participation in a TEMPUS Project “Integrated Information System for University Management”;
2000 - The Agricultural College is transformed into an Independent Higher School by the Decision of the Bulgarian Parliament, published in the State Gazette #95/21.11.2000;
2000 - Establishment of the Center of European Integration and Culture in the structure of the Agricultural College;
2001 - Grand opening of the new campus buildings of the Agricultural College;
2003 - The Agricultural College is issued 5-year institutional accreditation by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency /NEAA/ of the Government of Bulgaria with the Certificate № 23/18.09.2003;
2003-2005 - Design, development, and implementation of international projects related to the programs: Leonardo Da Vinci, PHARE, and Socrates-Comenius;
2003 - Establishment of a Center of Sustainable Agricultural Business, designed under the scheme of Leonardo Da Vinci Program;
2004 - New major is started being offered – “Technologies in Horticulture and Wine-Production”;
2005 - Graduation of the first class baccalaureates, majoring in the “Agricultural Economics” – a mutual project between the Agricultural College, Plovdiv and the University of National and World Economy, Sofia;
2006 - New major is started being offered – “Economics of Tourism”.
